Download the Klein Keepers app and create your profile. This is your chance to stand out. Add your experience, languages you speak, age groups you’re comfortable with, and anything that makes you special as a babysitter. A strong, honest profile helps families choose you and reach out directly.

How do bookings work?

Families browse profiles and contact you through the app. Before confirming, you can chat or schedule a call with the family to get to know them, understand their needs, and decide if it’s the right fit for you.You always choose which bookings to accept.

Do I choose my own availability?

Absolutely. You decide when you’re available, which requests you accept, and how often you want to work. There are no minimum hours and no pressure. Full control stays with you.

Can I talk to the family before accepting a booking?

Yes. We encourage both you and the family to chat and have a video call before confirming a booking. This gives you time to get to know each other, ask questions, and make sure the booking feels right for both sides.

What if I don’t feel comfortable with a booking?

That’s completely okay. The decision is always yours. Use the app to chat or have a call with the family, get to know them, and decide if the booking feels right for you. You’re never expected to accept a job you’re not comfortable with.

How do I get paid?

All payments are handled through the Klein Keepers platform to keep things simple, secure, and transparent. Families pay through the app, and you receive your payment without needing to handle cash or follow up on payments.

Do I set my own rate?

Yes. You set your own hourly rate. This is your opportunity to price your experience, skills, and availability in a way that feels right to you. We recommend filling out your profile in detail so families can understand your strengths, appreciate your experience, and leave thoughtful reviews after the booking.

When do I get paid?

Payments are processed through Stripe and are transferred to you after the booking is completed. This keeps the process secure and ensures everything runs smoothly for both you and the family.

Is there a commission?

Yes. Klein Keepers charges a 25% platform commission. This covers access to families, secure payments, customer support, and the overall management of the platform so you can focus on what you do best.

What kind of families will I work with?

You’ll mainly work with traveling families staying in hotels, resorts, or vacation apartments. These families are often on holiday and look for reliable, high quality childcare so they can enjoy their evenings with peace of mind. They tend to value experience, professionalism, and language skills, and are often willing to pay more for sitters they trust.

Is there support if I need help?

Yes. Our support team is available through the app whenever you need assistance, whether it’s a question about a booking, communication with a family, or any unexpected situation. We’re here to support you before, during, and after each booking so you always feel confident and backed.

Am I considered an employee of Klein Keepers?

No. Babysitters on Klein Keepers are not employees of the platform.Klein Keepers acts as a connecting platform between babysitters and families. You work independently, choose your own availability, set your own rates, and decide which bookings to accept. The platform simply provides the tools to connect, communicate, and handle payments securely.

What happens if a parent cancels a booking?

It depends on when the cancellation happens. If the parent cancels more than 48 hours before the booking, you will not receive the service fee. If the cancellation happens between 24 and 48 hours before the booking, you will receive 50% of your service fee. If the parent cancels less than 24 hours before the booking, you will receive the full service fee.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking?

If you cancel after accepting a booking, you will not receive the service fee. The refund of the platform fee depends on how close the cancellation is to the booking time. Frequent cancellations may lead to account suspension. If the cancellation is due to an unexpected and serious reason beyond your control, such as sudden illness or an accident, different rules may apply.

Do I get paid if the parent cancels?

Yes, in some cases. If the parent cancels close to the booking time, you may receive part or all of the service fee, depending on how late the cancellation is. Earlier cancellations do not result in payment.

Is the platform fee refunded if a booking is cancelled?

If the parent cancels, the platform fee is refunded according to the cancellation timing. If you cancel, the platform fee may be partially refunded or not refunded at all, depending on when the cancellation occurs.

Can parents leave a review after a booking?

Can I communicate with parents outside the app?

No. All communication and payments must stay within the Klein Keepers app. Sharing personal contact details or accepting bookings outside the platform is not allowed, as it bypasses the service and payment protection provided by Klein Keepers.
